Rome: The wedding venue of actor George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin has been reportedly switched.
The couple was forced to switch the venue for their Venetian wedding because their first choice of Hotel Cipriani was already booked by an Italian businessman, reports contactmusic.com
The couple, who will exchange vows Monday, reportedly had their hearts set on a ceremony at the luxurious hotel in Venice but lost out to businessman, Mauro Marchiaro and his fiancee Barbara Ciocca.
Before exchanging vows, actor George Clooney and his fiancee and human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin enjoyed dinner separately in Venice.
The bride-to-be arrived via water taxi at the Aman Canal Grande resort whereas Clooney enjoyed a boys night out at Da Ivo restaurant Friday, reports people.com.
The 36-year-old Alamuddin wore a red-and-black dress and was joined by a group of about 14 women including her sister, Tala, mom, Baria and fellow London-based lawyer Philippa Webb.
With much of Venice whipped into a wedding frenzy, Alamuddin's arrival was met with some 30 boats clogging the Grand Canal.
