Christian groups however continued to protest Monday against Lady Gaga's gig, despite organizers' assurances that her performance will not threaten morality.
“We have one person there that we assigned to buy a ticket to monitor everything so that we can document if she (Lady Gaga) went the way she wants and not according to what they agreed with the Mayor,” commented Catholic group leader Joey Sauco.
Some 300 Christian youths held a vigil about a kilometer away from the concert venue, the new constructed seaside Mall of Asia arena with a seating capacity of 20,000, whilst phalanxes of security guards stood on alert in front of the mall.
The group warned they will sue Lady Gaga and concert organizers if she sings “Judas” at her Manila gigs.
