Los Angeles: Country singer Dolly Parton says she was "so excited" and "honoured" when Adele expressed desire to collaborate with her for a song.
Parton has appreciated the "Skyfall" hitmaker and fuelled speculation the duo could join hands, reports contactmusic.com.
"I was so excited a year or so ago because I was hearing she was coming to Nashville and wanted to write with me. I was honoured to find out she's a fan because I think she's spectacular," Parton was quoted by The Sun as saying.
She also had kind words for fellow star Taylor Swift.
She said: "I know her and her family. She's a great girl and a big talent. I admire her a lot for how she's handled herself."
