Los Angeles, May 17: Candice Glover has been declared the winner of the 12th season of American singing reality show "American Idol", becoming the first female to win the competition since 2007.
The 23-year-old was announced winner during the grand finale Thursday.
Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson judged the finale as contestants Candice Glover and Kree Harrison competed for the winner's title.
The finale was shown live in India on BIG CBS Love.
