Los Angeles: Actress Amanda Bynes will reportedly be granted release from a rehabilitation centre here in December following marked improvements in her health.
The 27-year-old is currently staying in The Canyon, a rehab centre in Malibu. Towards the end of December, she is expected to be released into the care of her mother, Lynn.
Tmz.com reports that Bynes has responded well to the medication and counselling that she has been provided at the facility, where she moved to in September from UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric ward. Doctors believe the treatment has "sufficiently stabilised" her.
It was recently reported that the actress has been allowed two supervised outings a week.
"Amanda is being given two passes a week to go the beach, or out to eat and do things like that, accompanied by a professional handler," a source said.
The "She's The Man" star was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in July after she started a small fire on a driveway in her parents' neighbourhood in California.
