Los Angeles, August 2: Singer Amanda Bynes is reportedly responding well to a mixture of medicines, which is being given to her at a psychiatric hospital. The doctors refer to it as a "cocktail".
After medication, Bynes, who is suspected of suffering from schizophrenia, has stopped talking to herself, and she is not 'hearing voices' unlike earlier anymore, according to a source, reports tmz.com.
She has responded quickly and dramatically to treatment, and as a result, she has even stopped insulting people. The treatment is having positive effects on her - she has become downright polite, even saying "please" and "thank you", and has shown no signs of violence.
The combination of medicines is difficult to gauge and takes seven to 10 days to fully start showing any effect, so the doctors are not declaring victory yet. But they're optimistic.
However, the actress has appeared in court to request her discharge from the hospital.
