Actor Scott Eastwood, who will soon be seen in the forthcoming film "Fast and Furious 8", says late actor Paul Walker was like an older brother to him.
Eastwood and Walker became friends in 2005 when they met on the sets of the film "Flags of our Fathers", directed by the former's father Clint Eastwood.
"Paul was like an older brother to me, so to even consider the role was definitely an emotionally charged decision. At the end of the day, I felt he would have wanted any of his boys to be a part of something that he was so proud of. That's what made me feel good about the decision and once I got on set, I knew it was the right one," he said in a statement from the studio.
Directed by F. Gary Gray, the film's cast also includes Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Kurt Russell.
Hitting theatres on April 14 in India, "Fast and Furious 8" is being distributed by Universal Pictures.
