Mahesh Bhatt on daughter Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor's relationship
Besides their subtle acting skills and box office hits, Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are in news for dating each other. They are obsessed with each other and so are netizens with them. The duo is currently busy with their sci-fi trilogy Brahmastra and they spend most of the time together. From going shopping together to celebrating birthday, Alia and Ranbir know how to spend quality time with each other amidst their hectic schedule.
While Alia isn't shy from expressing what she feels for her co-star, Ranbir hasn't been quite open on dating the actress. However, Alia's director father Mahesh Bhatt got candid in a recent interview with The Telegraph and admitted the two are in happy space. ''Well, of course they’re in love. You don’t need to be a genius to get that!,'' he said.
He even refused to give any relationship advice to his daughter and said he never took any advice as a youngster. He also thinks that every person has the right and intelligence to decide for himself/herself. The filmmaker even believes that the institution of marriage should be questioned in the second decade of the 21st century.
When asked about Ranbir's performance in his last release Sanju, Bhatt said, ''I loved Ranbir (Kapoor) but that’s not the Sanjay Dutt that I know. Ranbir brought his own emotional chord to it but I don’t think Rajkumar (Hirani) was claiming to the world that he’s making an exact replica. People who are very close to Sanjay cannot connect with that portrayal in the movie. But India seems to have loved it''.
Reports say the duo are planning to tie the knot next year. However, earlier when Alia was asked about her wedding plans, she quickly said, "If people are waiting for my wedding then, they have to wait for it. I think climax should be good and there should be a happy ending to it''.
Meanwhile, Ranbir too, admitted that he is no rush to get married. ''I have always believed that marriage is something that will happen naturally. It can't be like, 'Okay, I am 35 now, so it's time to get married'. It should come to you and your partner naturally and you should both feel, 'This is the right phase. Now, we should take this relationship to the next level. But abhi aisi koi baat nai hai,'' the actor said.
