The Black Prince premiered in London at British Film Institute

London premiere of ‘The Black Prince’ was held recently and it got some rave reviews. The period drama was premiered at a very prestigious theatre, the British Film Institute. The film met with some really overwhelming reactions from the audience and many Bollywood as well as Hollywood celebrities, like Ashutosh Gowariker, Gurinder Chadha and Harbhajan Bhajji. The lead actor of the film Satinder Sartaaj, posted the pictures and videos on his official Facebook account. The movie is based on the life of last ruler of India's richest kingdom, Sikh province. Maharaja Duleep Singh, which very few of us know, was the last heir of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the only son of Maharani Jindan. Although, he was born to a princely family, since the very first day of his birth, his life saw some stances that haunted him to death. Despite being a prince, he died a lonely death in a Paris hotel room.

Satinder Sartaaj plays the lead role of Maharaja Duleep Singh, the last ruler of Sikh province while the veteran actress is seen playing Maharani Jindan, first wife of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. 

The trailer of the film was unveiled at Cannes’ India Pavilion and a special screening was also held in the main festival Palais.Stay tuned to get more  updates about the film that narrates the excerpts of our glorious Indian history.
