Avengers Endgame Box Office Day 5: Robert Downey Jr starrer superhero film inches close to Rs 200 crore mark
Avengers: Endgame has left the Indian audience rejecting Bollywood films. The Marvel superhero film starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Holland is doing wonders at the box office. The film has performed exceptionally on international box office, but has also done wonders at Indian box office. It has shattered the records of some of the highest grossing films like Sanju, Dangal and Tiger Zinda Hai and becoming the biggest opening film in India. On its opening day itself, Avengers: Endgame earned around Rs 53 crore at the Indian box office. Worldwide, it made Rs 2000 crores in one day itself.
As Avengers: Endame is ready to complete its one week of run in India, it super-close in hitting the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office. In four days, it has raked in Rs 189 crore at the BO. Reaching the 200-crore-mark is a cakewalk for the Marvel superhero film.
Avengers: Endgame has crossed the Week 1 business of some Bollywood biggies like Dangal, Sanju, Tiger Zinda Hai, Baahubali 2, etc. All these films earned around Rs 200-25 crore in one week. But going by the speed at which Avengers: Endgame is faring at, it will easily cross the Rs 250 crore mark in one week.
Avengers: Endgame is the last part of the blockbuster 21-film franchise. It consists of MCU superheroes including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Falcon, War Machine and others. The film marks the end of MCU phase 3. The phase 4 will kickstart soon, however the details of it have not been divulged yet.
