Sonu Sood spoke about his struggle in Bollywood during the starting of his career.

After Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, the debate between insiders and outsiders has gained a fresh momentum altogether. Many actors from the film industry have commented on nepotism and what all they had to face.

Another actor who has opened up on the latest debate is none other than Sonu Sood. In a recent interview to a leading portal Sonu said that even he had his own share of struggle and had to face discrimination as he did not have a powerful name backing him. Sonu stated that during his initial days his pictures were removed from the posters of many of his films.

The actor said, “I don’t belong to a film family. When I entered the industry, there were a lot of films where I felt like I should have been there on the posters, but I was removed. There are two ways to go about this. Either I can complain about not being on the poster, my role being cut short or I work hard to become worthy enough that people say that he deserves to be on the poster and have a substantial role.”

He further added, “Whoever has power will always use it. This is the case in Bollywood, corporate world or a clothes shop. Anyone with power will always try to suppress the one below him. You need to have the power to overcome this.”

Apart from this, Sonu recently shared an incident about bagging his first film on actress Neha Dhupia’s podcast named No Filter Neha. He said that after several rejections in different auditions, he got his first film just by removing his T-shirt. However, he was trying to learn Tamil for a South film but when he reached the studio, he was simply asked to take off his T-shirt and was confirmed for the role.
