The power couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. A day after the third Test in Indore came to an end, the two paid a visit to Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. Several photos and videos of the duo went viral on social media, where the star couple can be seen sitting in the temple along with other pilgrims. For the unversed, India will take on Australia in the fourth and final Test on March 9 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
According to ANI, Anushka and Virat also participated in the 'Bhasma Aarti' on the occasion. Bhasma aarti (offering with ashes) is a famous ritual here and is performed during the Brahma Muhurta between 4 and 5:30 in the morning. After that the couple reached the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and performed Jalabhishek.
Virat could be seen wearing a dhoti and Anushka opted for a light peach-coloured saree, following the guidelines for performing the puja.
Anushka and Virat had earlier visited temples in Vrindavan and Uttarakhand earlier this year as well. They paid a visit to Baba Neem Karoli Ashram in Vrindavan earlier this week and stayed there for about an hour and had ‘darshan’ of Baba's 'samadhi', besides meditating in a 'kutia' (hut). They also donated blankets at the ashram, as per reports. Anushka's family has been a follower of Baba Neem Karoli. After this, the family left for the Maa Anandamayi Ashram.
Days after spending quality time in Uttarakhand, Anushka on Friday shared a post flaunting her love for mountains. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a throwback picture in which she is seen sitting against a backdrop of lush greenery. "I miss the mountains and I hope they miss me too," she captioned the post.
Anushka visited the mountainous area with Virat and their daughter Vamika in last February. She had shared calming and adventurous pictures from her trip back then. In one of the images, the cricketer could be seen trekking with Vamika on his back in a baby carrier. Alongside the pictures, she wrote, "There's a mountain in the mountains and there is no one at the top."
