Will Parineeti Chopra take cues from cousin Priyanka Chopra and get married soon?
There seems to be a wedding wave that has engulfed our film industry. After Anushka Sharma, many actresses are actually thinking about settling down in their life and carrying on with their career goals at the same time. After Priyanka Chopra tied the knot in a big fat Indian wedding in December, the question now hangs on the head of Parineeti Chopra, who is 6 years younger to her cousin Priyanka. The 30-year-old actress was promoting her film Kesari, which has Akshay Kumar in the lead role. While talking to media, she was asked if she has wedding on the cards yet or not.
When asked about her marriage plans, Parineeti Chopra replied, “Toh unse mera kya lena dena yaar? Woh kare jo karna hai unko. (What has that to do with my life? They can do whatever they want). Currently, I have no plans, I don't think so! If I get married ever in life, then it has to be when I'm ready for it, which is not today. I'm not thinking about all that today."
Being compared to her cousin Priyanka Chopra, who got married recently, she said, “Usne khud 36 pe shaadi ki hai! Usne jaise badi jaldi kar li. Mere paas abhi 6 saal hai at least .”
She went on explaining why marrying late or not getting married at all is a non-issue in Chopra family. She said, “The family of Chopras na, they are very cool family. If you ever meet my family, hypothetically, you will see that they are actually a family of achievers. They get so busy with their work. Like even my eldest cousin is not married. Mimi Didi (Priyanka) is actually the first girl and the eldest girl to get married in our family. I have 14 cousins, only two are married. And all of us are in their 30s, nobody's married. So that's the kind of family we are!"
Parineeti Chopra is starring alongside Akshay Kumar in Kesari. She will also be seen opposite Arjun Kapoor in Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
