Why did Alia Bhatt’s mother say she would be happy to move to Pakistan?
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt mother and Mahesh Bhatt’s wife Soni Razdan, who will be seen in No Fathers In Kashmir, has shocked the internet with her recent statement about her willingness to move to Pakistan. In the wake of the rising Indo-Pak tension, Soni Razdan’s statement has come about as a shock to everyone. However, before you make any assumptions, Soni Razdan expressed that she has faced a lot of flak in the past for any statement she has made about Kashmir.
In a recent interview with Navbharat Times, Soni Razdan, known for films such as aaransh, Saathi and Khamosh ,mentioned that people call her anti-national if she talks about issues related to Kashmir and Pakistan. She even mentioned that she thinks there is a cultural imbalance in Kashmir. The same way it is in Pakistan, and thus, our neighbouring country isn’t secular. She stated that her statements make people think of her as ‘deshdrohi’ and they tell her to go to Pakistan. Soni said that she should take that advice and go since people keep pestering her.
"Ab jab main aisi baatein karti hoon toh log mujhe deshdrohi kehkar Pakistan behjna shuru kar dete hain. Kabhi kabhi main sochti hoon ki haan, mujhe Pakistan hi chale jana chahiye, main bohat khush rahungi Pakistan jaakar, wahan khana bhi bohat achha hai. Yahan toh bhagate hain log mujhe, bohat baar mujhe logon ne kaha ki tum Pakistan jaao, lekin meri tarah ki soch rakhne wale bohat zyada log hain, isliye mujhe isse koi zyada fark nahi padta hai ki kaun kya kehta hai," Soni Razdan was quoted as saying to Navbharat Times.
Meanwhile, Soni Razdan recently talked about daughter Alia Bhatt’s boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and said she has always admired the Barfi actor. Ranbir and Alia made their relationship public when they attended Sonam Kapoor's wedding reception together last year. Since then both the actors have been spending quality time with each other's families.
