Rishi Kapoor takes a stroll in New York with old-friend Anupam Kher
Rishi Kapoor, who is in America these days for his medical treatment, is seen catching up with his colleague and old friend Anupam Kher. The actor shared a video of himself with Anupam Kher taking a stroll on the New York streets in the afternoon and enjoying their time together. Taking to Twitter, Rishi Kapoor wrote, "New York,Manhattan. “Kher-free” or is it “Care-free”on Madison Avenue with colleague and old friend Anupam Kher this afternoon!"

Last week, Rishi Kapoor took to Twitter to inform his fans that he is going out of the country for his medical treatment and also urged the fans to not speculate anything while he is gone. Rishi Kapoor wrote, “Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus”of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes,I will be back soon!”.
As per a Zee News report, it is suggested that Rishi Kapoor is accompanied by his wife Neetu and son Ranbir Kapoor and they have rented an apartment in the city. It is also said that while Neetu will stay in the States with husband Rishi Kapoor, son Ranbir will come back for the shooting of his upcoming film.
It was not even a week that veteran actor Rishi Kapoor was gone that rumors of him being diagnosed with cancer started surfacing the internet. A media outlet reported that Rishi Kapoor is suffering from cancer and it is in the third stage. The report stated that Rishi Kapoor has been asked to undergo treatment for 45 days which includes chemotherapy sessions and that he is going through a trying time. This stirred a storm among the fans. However, Rishi Kapoor’s brother Randhir Kapoor was contacted by ETimes and he revealed that his brother is yet to undergo tests and they will share the result of what he has been diagnosed with after that is done.
Randhir Kapoor said, "We don't know yet what is the exact nature of his ailment. Rishi himself doesn't know what he is suffering from. He has not even started undergoing tests there; how can people speculate that he has cancer and that too, one that has escalated to advanced stage."
