Karan Johar’s epic response to troll who asked if he has ‘gender malfunction’
Karan Johar is undoubtedly the favourite celebrity for the trolls. People not just have an opinion about his quirky dressing sense, but the filmmaker also gets questions thrown at him related to his sexual orientation. Recently, Bollywood’s most successful filmmaker Karan Johar appeared on Arbaaz Khan’s talk show Pinch and in a candid conversation gave an epic response to a troll who asked him if he has a ‘gender malfunction’.
The makers of Arbaaz Khan’s show Pinch shared a teaser of the upcoming episode in which Karan Johar will be seen having a heart to heart conversation with host Arbaaz and will give a look at all the comments on his social media posts. In the segment where Karan is asked to react to the comments, the filmmaker reads out a question asking, ‘Did Karan Johar have a gender malfunction?’. To this, the filmmaker is seen saying, - ‘It says the level of homophobia. That’s to me is sick’. Watch the video here-
Karan Johar is often asked about the same and many times he has even spoken about his sexual preferences and gender orientation. In fact, the filmmaker even made it clear in his biography, An Unsuitable Boy, when he wrote, “Everybody knows what my sexual orientation is. I don't need to scream it out. If I need to spell it out, I won't only because I live in a country where I could possibly be jailed for saying this. Which is why I Karan Johar will not say the three words that possibly everybody knows about me.”
Before Karan Johar, Arbaaz Khan’s show has Kareena Kapoor Khan gracing the couch. During the show, Kareena Kapoor Khan was made to read the social media trolls which she received on her name. Responding to them in a strong manner, Kareena said, “But when am I rude and where have I been arrogant? Of course actors, especially stars, have an image. And I have a feeling stars who come from a film family ....a lot of people feel they are arrogant. People who don’t know you, shouldn’t comment. They don’t know who I am.”
On a related note, Karan Johar is all set to bounce back as a director with his next film Takht which is a multi-starrer featuring Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Bhumi Pednekar.
