It’s none other than Bollywood couple Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra who suggested Anushka Sharma to pick Italy for their destination wedding. A source close to Yash Raj Films told The Asian Age, “It was his idea that Anushka and Virat have their wedding in Italy.”
Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra themselves exchanged their wedding vows in 2014 in a hush-hush ceremony, without much media drama. Although, their special friend Karan Johar was present at their wedding, but not even a single bit of their nuptials escaped the four walls. On April 22, 2014, the couple announced their wedding in a statement. Just like Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, the couple tied the knot in the Italian countryside.
For the uninitiated, Aditya Chopra of YRF Films is the one who brought Anushka Sharma in Bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
The source further added, “He warned them that a desi wedding would turn into a tamasha with paparazzi and gate crashers."
Anushka and Virat took their advice seriously and complied accordingly. Joseph Radhik, who was the designated photographer at Virushka wedding revealed that the bride did not wanted her wedding moments to be ‘filmy’ and staged. Their wedding took place on November 11 at a heritage resort in Tuscany.
