Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s fairy-tale Italian wedding has become the talk of the town. Right from Haldi ceremony to the beautiful bride Anushka’s entrance, everything has been making huge headlines. But, do you know who is behind the most talked about wedding of the year? Making her hometown proud, Lucknow girl Devika Narain was the one who designed Virat and Anushka’s dremy wedding in Tuscany. Her husband Joseph Radhik was the designated photographer for the grand wedding.
Devika Narain’s father Pradeep spoke to News 18 and, said it was Devika’s wedding planning company -- Devika Narain and Company that designed Kohli and Sharma’s wedding.
“We’ve been keeping a secret for a couple of months now and all of it has come to life today, in a beautiful Tuscan village, where Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma official got married,” said a Facebook post on Devika’s company’s profile.
“It’s finally all settling in, the cold is seeping back in and at this point I’m an odd mix of relief and immense excitement. We’ve been keeping a secret for a couple of months now and all of it has come to life today, in a beautiful tuscan village, where Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma official got married. We’re overwhelmed to have been chosen to be a part of such a special day. It means a lot to us to have had their trust, not just in keeping all of this a secret but to create a setting for their big day! Congratulations and thank you! #virushka”, Devika posted on her company’s Facebook account.
However, it was not an easy job to keep it all under wraps till the last day and even Narain’s family wasn’t aware of the big-ticket assignment that she was working on.
Speaking about how she grabbed the amazing opportunity, Devika spoke to Times of India said, "Anushka approached me via their wedding planner a few months ago. I remember when we were first signed on, we didn't know the venue or who was getting married. It's all been a fabulous ride since then. Anushka chose us because she wanted a very intimate wedding. She was very clear that this was a celebration for her family and that she had no one to show off to, or impress. Each detail was custom made for her and like any regular bride she was incredibly invested in the process. She matched the outfit, flowers and even her jewellery to create her magical wedding."
