Vikrant Massey Birthday Special: Before Bollywood, the Chhapaak actor has proved his mettle in these TV shows

Vikrant Massey has become a household name after Amazon Prime Original Mirzapur. But it was long before that the actor has given some breathtaking performances on screens. Not only films or web series, Vikrant Massey was as charismatic as now in TV serials as well. If you stress on your memory, you'll remember how many times you had this face appear on your television screen in multiple TV shows including Balika Vadhu, Baba Aiso Var Dhoondo and many more. But as we remember, Vikrant Massey became popular among the tellyviewers after Baba Aiso Var Dhundho, in which he's paired opposite a short-heighted woman Bharti. Later, the actor played an important role in a long-running TV show Balika Vadhu, which then had Pratyusha Bannerjee in the lead role. On his birthday, let's talk about how Vikrant Massey paved his way into television and went straight to doing films.

Baba Aiso Var Dhundho

Vikrant Massey played the role of Murli Laal who is forced to marry a short-heighted woman Bharti on pretext of getting financial assistance. The show became popular because of the unusual love story between Murli and Bharti. In most of the love stories, two perfect-looking peopel fall in love with each other. But in Baba Aiso Var Dhundho, Bharti and Murli fall in love with each other's imperfections.

Balika Vadhu

In Balika Vadhu, Vikrant Massey as Shyam comes to a widow's life in a form of new ray of hope. After the child bride loses her husband in a dacoit attack, Shyam takes her under his wings. His role was a breath of fresh air in a premise where the men only knew how to exploit the women of their lives. Vikrant Massey was praised for his short but significant stint in the show

The Serial

In this TV show The Serial, which was based on the real lives of the celebrities, Vikrant Massey played himself. He narrated the story of his struggles in television industry and how he toiled day and night to bag one role in any Bollywood film. The Serial also featured his Baba Aiso Var Dhundho co-star Juhi playing his real-life friend and confidante.

Qubool Hai

The TV serial that is remembered for Surbhi Jyoti and Karan Singh Grover's chemistry also had Vikrant Massey in a short but important role. He played the role of Ayaan who was the step-brother of the male lead Asad played by Karan Singh Grover. Asad shared a bond with Ayaan despite being stepbrothers. He had a short stint in the show, but he earned a lot of fans for his character Ayaan.

After 14 years of struggle, charismatic actor Vikrant Massey finally found a place for himself in Bollywood. He's all set to share the screen space with Deepika Padukone in Chhapaak. Before this, he is also featuring in the web series called Criminal Justice with Pankaj Tripathi. On his birthday, we hope that we get to see more of Vikrant Massey in the films.
