Veere Di Wedding actor Sumeet Vyas, who was said to be engaged to Ekta Kaul has clarified his engagement rumours. Their engagement speculations started after the rumoured lovebirds shared a post donning a traditional attire on social media. And later Ekta also shared few pics in which she was seen holding hand of a guy and captioned it, ‘’From today until forever.. #soulmatesunited #dealissealed.
Sharing another similar pic, she wrote, ‘’They didn't agree on much. Infact they didn't agree on anything. They fought all the time and challenged each other everyday. But Sumeet clarifying the rumours in an interview to Mumbai Mirror has said, ‘’We were dressed traditionally as we were attending a wedding and people mistook it for an engagement.”
He further said, ‘’I would like to put an end to all the rumours and speculation around my engagement to actress, Ekta Kaul. The rumours are false. We are currently dating and are enjoying this phase of our relationship. As both of us are busy with our careers, we would like to spend more time together before taking the next step. I would request the media to not speculate and spread false news regarding the same.’’
Sumeet, who parted ways from his wife Shivani Tanksale in 2017, added, “I had come out of a marriage, which was a sensitive issue, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get into another relationship. Now, our families have spoken to each other as well and everyone is happy.”
