Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who is currently enjoying the success of his last release Judwaa 2, has found himself in quite an odd situation. A woman has reportedly been stalking the actor on social media and making life difficult for him. Now, the situation has become too intense that Varun has filed a police complaint against his stalker, according to a Mid-day report.  It so happened that a woman stalked Varun Dhawan on social media and also sent several messages on his WhatsApp.

However, things didn’t end there as few days later the Badrinath KI Dulhania actor even got a phone call from an unidentified number who threatened him saying that the woman would commit suicide if he did not respond to her messages on WhatsApp, a senior police officer has told Mid-day.

Scared by the development, the actor consulted his legal advisors and finally complained to the Mumbai police. He had first approached the Juhu police, but was directed to Santacruz police station as his residence falls under their jurisdiction, a Juhu police station officer said. Varun has also sent a complaint to the cyber police station at BKC.

“We have received a complaint from Varun Dhawan and are in the process of finding out details about the person who had called him. The number has been switched off ever since the call was made”, a senior Santacruz officer confirmed.

Varun recently teamed up with Alia Bhatt to spread message of cleanliness in an advertisement produced by filmmaker Karan Johar's banner Dharma Productions.

"Our next ad with a cause! Proud of this one! Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Punit Malhotra, Adar Poonawalla. India Hoga Clean," Karan Johar shred the ad.
