Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor reunite for Remo D’Souza’s ABCD 3
The magical trio of Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and director Remo D’Souza is back to entertain the fans with the third instalment of their ABCD series. Earlier, Katrina Kaif was supposed to star in the film opposite Varun but she opted out claiming dates issues. Since then, the makers were a look out for the female lead and names like Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were popping up. Now, the actor has confirmed that Shraddha will be seen romancing him once again.
Taking to his social media, Varun Dhawan posted a selfie with Shraddha Kapoor and welcomed her ‘home’. She captioned it as, ‘welcome home chirkut’ with a few hearts. Shraddha was also featured in ABCD 2, Varun’s first film in the series. Check out their picture here-
Reportedly, Katrina Kaif opted out of the film owing to her hectic schedule. Her official spokesperson said, "Katrina Kaif had to opt out of Remo D'souza's upcoming dance film owing to her hectic schedule for 'Bharat'. Katrina has always been a thorough professional. She decided to step out of the film as her dates were clashing with 'Bharat', which she is currently shooting for. She wishes the team all the best."
ABCD 3 will be directed by Remo D’Souza, who has directed both ABCD films earlier as well. Talking about the film, Remo has said that ABCD 3 will be the biggest 3D dance film in the history of Bollywood, calling it ‘the ultimate dance film’ in a statement.
Varun had in March 2018 shared a brief teaser for the film, in which Katrina was mentioned as his co-star. He said in a statement, “Working with Remo again for India’s biggest dance film is huge. I performed once in New York with Katrina and it was electric. She’s going to bring her A game so I need to get back into shape. Bhushan is not only a strong producer who has over a period of time built a great marketing and distribution machinery, he also contributes a lot creatively specially in music department.”
The film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar along with Remo’s wife Lizelle. Talking about the film, Bhushan said Remo D’Souza will redefine dance for the Indian audience with the film. “The audience has already seen Varun and Shraddha’s chemistry. Now, Remo will redefine dance for our audience,” he said.
