Varun Dhawan, an Indian actor, earned his own identity in the Bollywood film industry despite his father David Dhawan being one of the most loved filmmakers in the country. Out of 12 released feature films of the actor, excluding Varun Dhawan's cameo roles, 5 films belong to the comedy genre. This is one reason why Varun has been nominated several times for Best Actor in a Comic Role for films including Main Tera Hero, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Dishoom, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Judwaa 2.
Apart from doing comic projects, Varun proved his talent by opting for challenging roles. The actor did an intense role in his 2015 released film Badlapur. Helmed by filmmaker Abhishek Verman, Kalank also stars Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt.
Just turned 32, Varun has worked with an assemblage of adroit actresses like Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez to name a few. Speaking of Alia Bhatt, the actor has been paired with her in more than three films. Varun and Alia are now one of the popular onscreen couples loved by many fans.
A prolific actor, flexible dancer, and a power-packed entertainer with striking looks, Varun marked his debut in the year 2012 with Karan Johar's production house. The film was titled Student of the Year and also introduced actors Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra. Directed by Punit Malhotra, Dharma Productions' film SOTY was a successful cinematic feature.
