It’s been months since veteran actress Sridevi passed away in February. Now, her eldest daughter Janhvi Kapoor is all set to pass her legacy into the Indian cinema. Her debut film Dhadak’s release is gearing near. There was a time when Janhvi Kapoor couldn’t even speak a sentence in Hindi. An old video of Sridevi and daughter from a press conference is going viral for all the good reasons. In the video, the veteran actress is seen mimicking her daughter’s Hindi, which is clearly not up to the point.
Years ago, Sridevi and Janhvi Kapoor were present at the press conference at an event. One of the journalists asked Janhvi to answer the question in Hindi. She did answer the question but in a broken Hindi.
She said, “Mujhe pata nahi hai, main abhi school mein padhai kar rahi hoon.”
Sridevi takes the mike away from Janhvi Kapoor and asked the reporters to not to ask questions in Hindi. She also goes on mimicking her daughter after which the mother-daughter duo and the entire team of journalists burst into laughter.
Janhvi Kapoor’s debut film Dhadak with Ishaan Khatter, is all set to release on July 20 this year. Produced by Karan Johar, Dhadak is the Hindi remake of Marathi hit Sairat.
