Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutt has recently been grabbing huge headlines regarding the sexual harassment allegations against Nana Patekar on the sets of the movie Horn Ok Please. The actress also recalled how her vanity van and car was attacked by goons which left her traumatized. Now, a video of the same incident has surfaced online and, has taken the internet by storm.
The video footage shows Tanushree’s car being attacked by a mob. Tanushree is seen handling the situation calmly with her father being present in the car. A mob surrounds her car and many are seen banging on the car doors and windows, jumping on the car and deflating her car tires.
Tanushree shared in a series of interviews that she was so horrified by the mob attack that even after being offered multiple films, she could not go back on film set. Tanushree’s parents contacted the police, who is seen arresting people from the mob and helping the car move ahead.

Journalist Janice Sequeira, in her account, had said, "Out of nowhere, goons turned up and began banging against the vanity van door. I was told the producers had called them to set. Cops arrived. Amidst this chaos, I got hold of #NanaPatekar. All he said was, "Meri beti jaisi hai", which didn't really make any sense at that point.
"Eventually, Tanushree's parents arrived to pick her up. Her car was attacked, the windshield broken. I tried to get in touch with Tanushree to get her version of events. Around midnight, she asked me to come to her place. In tears, she narrated what really happened."
Shilpa Shetty has expressed her grief towards the incidents Tanushree faced 10 years back. In an interview with ANI, the actress said, “I don’t know what happened exactly. But I think there shouldn’t be any kind of violence or pressure on any person, whether male or female, at the workplace. I feel pained that she has been through so much of trauma.”
Tanushree Dutta had spoken out against Patekar for making inappropriate advances during the shoot of a song, a project that she eventually dropped out of.
This revelation could put the wheels of the #MeToo movement in action in India, which hasn’t gathered much momentum in Bollywood because actresses have shied away from speaking out about the industry’s underbelly.
