The tension between India and Pakistan that escalated after Pulwama attack in Kashmir reached crescendo after Balakot air strike conducted by India. Amidst the growing conflict, it was Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman who indirectly helped in diluting the tension.

While people from both sides of the border were praying for peace between the two warring nations, comedian Trevor Noah on his show cracked a joke on India and Pakistan's conflict. He also mocked Bollywood films. ''Obviously, I hope India and Pakistan don't go to war. But if they did go to war, it would probably be the most entertaining war of all-time,'' he said.

He even pantomimed our army saying that Indian soldiers would sing and dance on the battlefield. "It would also be the longest war of all time. Another dance number? I'm sorry, I love Bollywood, I do,'' he said.

Slamming the comedian on Twitter, Swara Bhasker called him ''ignorant and racist''. She also lashed out at him for calling a war 'entertaining'. ''1. War isn't funny or entertaining. 2. Hindi is not gibberish. Your stereotype of Indo-Pak is ignorant and racist. 3. Your set smacks of essentialism and a patronising generalisation and is very first world. 4. Human lives were lost and at stake. SO disappointing!," she wrote on Twitter.

Mallika Dua also took to Twitter to express her support for Swara's views. She tweeted, "What makes it sadder is that Trevor Noah cracked such a below average, shit joke. Something Russel Peters probably threw in the bin before his first open mic in life. If you're going to be a racist comic than at least get the comic bit right."

On a related note, Mallika Dua was last seen in Namaste England, co-starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, whereas Swara Bhasker featured in Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Veere Di Wedding.
