Sussanne Khan wishes a very Happy Birthday to BFF Sonali Bendre in heartfelt post, shares gorgeous pic
2018 has been a tough year for Sonali Bendre. The actress was diagnosed with high-grade metastatic cancer. She was getting her treatment done in New York and is presently enjoying a 'happy interval' from the same. Despite the hard times, Sonali remained positive and has been sharing her journey with her followers on social media. Sonali Bendre is celebrating her birthday today and, husband Goldie Behl and good friend Sussanne Khan have most adorable wishes for the fighter.
Taking to Instagram, Sussanne Khan shared a lovely picture with a caption that read, "Happy happiest birthday to our most precious, gorgeous warrior princess @iamsonalibendre sonzyyy ..may we all continue to enhance and motivate each other, while we change the meaning of ‘play’..and so in pursuit of our own unique diverse state of ‘curation’....Amen 2019 is finally here".
Meanwhile, husband Goldie Behl penned a heartfelt note for her saying that she is more than a "best friend" and "strength" for him.
He praised Sonali, who was undergoing treatment for cancer in New York last year, on Instagram and posted a photograph with her from her birthday party, which they recently threw at their residence here for their close friends.
"They say your partner needs to be your best friend, your sounding board, your mirror, your strength, your inspiration. You have been all that and more to me. 2018 was a tough year on you, but I am so proud of the dignity and courage with which you handled it. Not only did you help me find my own strength, but you imparted that to every soul who followed your life closely.
"It is never easy to be at the receiving end and yet be so positive and spread so much love. Thank you for being the person you are. On your special day, I wish you all things wonderful, all things love, all things that bring a cheer to you through the year," the "Drona" director captioned the photograph.
Waving goodbye to 2018, Sonali shared a number of pictures and wrote, “Throwback to my last blow-dry before I cut my hair. Now that my hair is gradually growing back.... Maybe I can look forward to another blow-dry in 2019! This journey has been immense, and has taught me so so much.... From being in awe of the body's willingness and capacity to fight and heal and recover to overwhelming gratitude to the people who have stood by me and been pillars of strength to being reminded of life's transience and that things come and go (much like my hair). Earlier, Sussanne Khan had posted some snaps with Sonali Bendre on her Instagram account with a message that read that as friends they have each other’s back and will overcome all the rough times life has to offer. She said she envisions a bright future for them.
In July 2018, Sonali Bendre was diagnosed with high-grade cancer which has metastasised. She shared the news with her Instafam, writing in details how life gives us surprises, some of which are not pleasant.
