Sushmita Sen reveals how she started dating boyfriend Rohman Shawl
Sushmita Sen, who recently clocked 25 years of being the first Indian woman to win Miss Universe, has her Instagram account loaded with pictures of herself with the love of her life Rohman Shawl. The actress has always been very public about her relationship with the model and treated her fans with their fitness as well as romantic moments through her social media. However, not many people know how the two started dating. Many believe that since both Sushmita and Rohman belong to the world of fashion, they met at some fashion show or an event and instantly hit it off. Well, that is not the case. The actress has finally opened up about her love life and how Rohman Shawl entered her life.
Sushmita Sen revealed interesting details about her personal and professional life in an interview with Rajiv Masand. From her illness to joining Instagram to Rohman Shawl, the actress went candid about everything. She also rubbished the reports that she met Rohman at a fashion event and revealed the complete story of how they started dating. She said, " It's a very very beautiful serendipity story. He sent me a direct message on Instagram and I didn't check direct messages because I wasn't sure if you check it you may be allowing that person to start communicating with you. So, I had too many of these direct messages and I had not opened any and there it was. Touch screen phone ki jai ho because I had gone to the DM to look at what all had come and I was scrolling through and this boy broke something in the room and I went talking to him and when I came back I had obviously opened one of the DMs and it was a message from him and I was like 'Oh my god, how did I do that, god I should never be talking when I am near a phone'," she added.
The actress further revealed that she was touched with Rohman’s message and felt that it has come from a very compassionate and loving person. This made her reply to his message. Replying to Rohman's message, Sushmita wrote, "Thank you so much, your message made my day, I wish you all the happiness in the world," after which she started packing for her US trip. Sushmita then revealed that she was on her way to the US when she received a message back from him which read, "I am jumping from one room to another, I cannot believe you responded." The message brought smile of Sushmita’s face yet again and then the two were not in contact since she left for the US.
As they say, distance cannot separate those who love. The two were destined to be together which is why they again started talking when the actress came back after a month. Soon after the messages, Shawl asked the actress to come watch him plat football. Interestingly, Sushmita suggested that they should go out for coffee so that they can have a conversation. She added, "And, that was it when I met this person, I felt I had known him my whole life. It was that simple."
Going by the pictures that Sushmita Sen shares on her Instagram, one can easily say that she is very happy with Rohman Shawl right now. They two have been dating for nine months now and are extremely happy to be spending time with each other. When asked if she has any plans of marriage, the actress revealed that it will happen when the time is right.
