Lok Sabha election 2019 results fervour has gripped the country and amidst such a frenzy, Republic TV founder and news anchor Arnab Goswami gave a field day to netizens when he accidentally referred to BJP's Gurdaspur candidate Sunny Deol as Bollywood actress Sunny Leone. This goof-up happened during the live coverage of vote counting. As soon as the video went viral, Sunny Leone started trending on Twitter. Even the actress was quite amused by the gaffe.
Arnab's slip of tongue was comic relief for netizens amidst the high-voltage political drama and counting day pressure. Sunny Leone also took notice of her cameo on a TV show and took to Twitter to react to the viral clip. ''Leading by How many votes ????,'' she wrote followed by a wink emoji.
As per initial trends, Sunny Deol, who made his political debut this year, is leading in Gurdaspur against Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar with over 50 thousand votes. He is the third member of his party to join politics after father Dharmendra and step-mom Hema Malini, who is also leading from Mathura.
On a related note, Sunny Leone, who made her debut with Mahesh Bhatt's Jism 2 has featured in movies such as Ragini MMS 2, Hate Story 2 and Mastizaade among others. She was also seen in a Zee5 web series based on her life. Titled Karenjit Kaur - The Untold Story of Sunny Leone, the show narrates her journey from being an adult star to a Bollywood celebrity.
