The legendry actress Sridevi popular as ‘lady Amitabh’ was readying herself for a dream date with her ‘one and only’ love Boney Kapoor in Dubai just before her demise stated a report of Khaleej Times. Sridevi was all excited for her dream date with her husband few minutes before she reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest in Dubai, stated the reports.
As per the source close to Sridevi’s family, her hubby Boney, flew back from Mumbai and went to her room in the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel around 5:30 in the evening to "surprise" her with dinner.
The reports further stated that he woke her up and the couple chatted for about 15 minutes before he invited her for dinner. Sridevi then went to the washroom. After 15 minutes passed and Sridevi did not come out, Kapoor knocked on the door to check on her. When he got no response, he forced open the door to find the legendary actor lying motionless in the bathtub full of water.
"He tried to revive her and when he could not, he called a friend of his. After that, he informed the police at 9pm," stated the reports of Khaleej Times.
Soon after learning this, the police and paramedics rushed to the spot, but unfortunately Sridevi was declared dead. After that Sridevi’s body was taken for an autopsy to the General Department of Forensic Medicine.
This unfortunate news of Sridevi’s death was confirmed by her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor through a statement to leading daily. He said, "Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet.”
