Entire nation is gripped in grief, as Bollywood’s versatile actress Sridevi passed away at 54 due to cardiac arrest in Dubai. This unfortunate news of Sridevi’s death was confirmed by her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor through a statement to leading daily. He said, "Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet.”
Sridevi was in Dubai to attend Mohit Marwah's wedding. Her younger daughter Khushi accompanied her to Mohit’s wedding, but her elder daughter Janhvi couldn’t attend the wedding as she was busy in the shooting of her debut film Dhadak.
Sridevi was a doting mom to both her daughters Khushi and Janhvi. Earlier in an interview to a news agency, Sridevi called her daughter to be ‘sensible kids’.
She was very much concerned worried about her daughter and their career. Sridevi was earlier quoted saying, ‘’Luckily, they know their limits and they are very responsible children. When you have responsible children, half the battle is over. So, you don’t have to worry. But you are concerned. The concern will never go, and you’ll always be conscious about them."
Janhvi is about to make her Bollywood debut with Dhadak and Sridevi earlier in an interview with TOI talked in depth about her daughter’s first film. Sridevi said, ‘’It is a great feeling. I am excited, nervous, happy and concerned, as any mother would be. But she is a very hard working and very dedicated girl."
Sridevi also accompanied her daughter Janhvi to her first shooting schedule in Udaipur, Rajasthan in December. She also posted series of pictures with her daughter on her Instagram. Sridevi was not just a strong lady but also a caring mom to her daughters. Her Instagram accounts were flooded with number of pictures with Khushi and Janhvi.
