Sridevi’s 1st Death Anniversary: Janhvi Kapoor, Boney Kapoor in Chennai for Puja
On February 24 2018, we came to learn about the shocking news that beloved actress Sridevi is no more. It was Saturday, when people woke up to the devastating news that their favourite actress and India’s first female superstar has passed away. The veteran actress accidentally drowned herself in her hotel bath tub in Dubai. She was with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor in Dubai to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding. Her death came to everyone as a shock. Thousands of people joined the consort at her funeral that took place in Mumbai last year. Today is Sridevi’s first death anniversary as per Hindu calendar. On the occasion, her family has flown to Chennai to perform a Puja.
Sridevi had a residence in Chennai as well where she has spent a considerable amount of time in her life. Her daughters Khushi and Janvhi along with their father Boney Kapoor have arrived in Chennai to hold a puja in her honour. As per the Tithi, Sridevi’s death anniversary falls on February 14 this year.
Pictures from the Puja which is taking place in Chennai is doing rounds in the media. Sridevi’s brother-in-law and co-star of many films, Anil Kapoor has also accompanied the family for the Puja.
Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut in Bollywood months after her mother’s sudden demise, spoke a lot of times how she has never been able to come to terms with her death.
