South Superstar Prabhas called Shahid Kapoor after watching Kabir Singh trailer; Here's why

The official teaser of Kabir Singh recently dropped on the internet and need not mention that it was an instant hit. While fans are awe-inspiring, many celebrities are also singing praises of versatile actor Shahid Kapoor. The 38-year-old actor who has played a number of remarkable characters in films like Haider, Jab We Met, Padmaavat, Kaminey and Udta Punjab, is now all set to surprise his audience with another avatar.

Going crazy about Shahid's new raging avatar as a doctor, rebel and lover aka Kabir Singh, we fans don't have to dig much for the information as the actor himself is quite active on all the social media platforms sharing his latest pictures and videos.

Besides all the fan-clubs of the actor, Shahid is receiving appreciation after the teaser from B-town celebs as well. But here's an interesting piece of information -another name that has added in the fan-following list of Shahid Kapoor is of South superstar Prabhas.

Baahubali actor Prabhas was also one who watched the Kabir Singh trailer and called up Shahid to congratulate him. Going by the media reports of DNA, Prabhas was so impressed with the trailer that he spoke to Shahid for around 7-odd minutes and congratulated him. It all started when celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim, who was with Prabhas at the time while the Baahubali star saw the Kabir Singh trailer insisted Prabhas call up Shahid, and Hakim decided to connect the two stars.

“I was in Hyderabad shooting for Saaho with Prabhas, and the teaser of Kabir Singh had just launched online. Prabhas checked it out and loved it. Even his team members, who have enjoyed Arjun Reddy, felt that Shahid looked brilliant. Seeing Prabhas’ reaction to the promo, I called up Shahid and handed him the phone. The former praised him and said that Kabir Singh looks even better than the original. Both of them chatted for a good seven-odd minutes,” Aalim Khan informed DNA.

Prabhas will be next seen in Saaho alongside Shraddha Kapoor. Coming back to Kabir Singh, it is directed by Sandeep Vanga and is a remake of the 2017 hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Kabir Singh also stars Kiara Advani opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film will hit the screens on June 21, 2019.
