Cast and crew of SOTY 2 celebrated director Punit Malhotra's birthday
Karan Johar's Student of The Year 2 is making right kind of buzz even before its release. Marking the debut of two newbies- Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday, the movie also features Tiger Shroff in the titular role. Away from Mumbai heat, the team is currently shooting in the beautiful landscape of Mussoorie.
Amidst shooting schedules, SOTY 2 team celebrated birthday of their 'captain' Punit Malhotra. The director turned a year older and rang in his 37th birthday with the cast and crew. In pictures which are doing the round on social media, we can see Tiger Shroff, Ananya and others celebrating Punit's birthday. SOTY 2 team indeed made Punit's birthday special for him.
Ananya also shared a picture on Instagram with her director and captioned it: ''Happy 21st birthday Mr Director, you’re the best''. Tara also posted a picture with Ananya and Punit with caption: ''Happy Birthday to our Captain!!!Thank you for everything.''
Ananya Panday not just wished her director but also presented a handmade cap and note to him. Punit gave us a glimpse of the gifts on Instagram. He wrote: ''Coming home to this love.. don’t miss the handmade cap and note from @ananyapanday."
Shooting of SOTY 2 began from 9 April in Dehradun. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, the flick is scheduled to release on November 23. While we will get to see Tiger in a completely different avatar in SOTY 2, we are also waiting to see the acting prowess of two newbies.
Ananya's father Chunky Panday in an interview said that he is already feeling like a superstar's father. While talking to Spotboye.com, Chunky said Ananya was quite clear that she wanted to get into acting and couldn't have asked for anything better than debut with Dharma Productions. ''I think Ananya was born for Dharma. It’s a dream come true,'' he added.
