Actor Diljit Dosanjh, who has been receiving praises for his recently released Bollywood film Soorma, has added another feather to hi cap. The popular Punjabi singer will soon join the list of celebrities who have wax models of their own at the prestigious museum of Madame Tussauds. His wax figure is being readied for Madame Tussauds Delhi.
The actor and singer announced the news on social media saying, "Finally, yeh din bhi aa gaya. (Finally, the day has come)"
Diljit Dosanjh will add stardust to Madame Tussauds Delhi (located in Connaught Place), which already has wax figures of prominent personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Virat Kohli, Justin Bieber and several others.
Diljit's fans appear to be quite elated with the news and comments such as "well deserved. Love everything about your journey" and "Congratulations, looking forward to see it" have been posted. Our favourite - "Bhangra karan da pose banana."
The official Instagram handle of Madame Tussauds in Delhi also shared a photo, announcing the news. Other big stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Virat Kohli, Salman Khan, Justin Bieber are also featured in the prestigious wax museum.
Diljit Dosanjh starrer Soorma has done well at the box-office. The film's collections saw a rise over the weekend and the movie has been able to mint a total of Rs 8.25 crore.
The film's cast which also includes Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi have all been applauded for their intense performance in the movie.
Directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Sony Pictures, Soorma stars Diljit and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. The movie presents the story of Sandeep Singh, who was paralyzed and used a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gunshot injured him in 2006.
