Sonam Kapoor's wedding
Pictures of Sonam Kapoor suggest that she is the happiest and prettiest bride. The actress wore a red lehenga by Anuradha Vakil for her D-Day and rounded off her look with statement jewellery and heavy mangtika. Anand Ahuja, who wore Raghuvendra Rathore's outfit completed his look with a stone neckpiece and dark beige and cream traditional safa.
It was a Sikh wedding for Sonam and Anand at the lavish bungalow of the actress's aunt. It was an intimate ceremony and photos and videos from the wedding are going viral on social media. In one such video, we can see the couple's mangalsutra and sindoor moments.
Following the traditions, Anand puts sindoor on Sonam's forehead. The actress can be heard saying, ''thoda sa'' before Anand puts vermillion on her forehead. The Delhi-based entrepreneur then puts mangalsutra around Sonam's neck. You can clearly hear the actress calling Anand as 'babu'. Well, that's a cute nickname!

Sonam and Anand are seeing each other for over two years, however, the duo never opened up on their relationship. Speculations regarding their marriage began from early 2018 but no one from the Kapoor family confirmed it. It was only on May 1 when The Kapoors and The Ahujas released a joint statement confirming the wedding. It read, “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
Sonam will next be seen in multi-starrer Veere Di Wedding, which is scheduled to release on June 1.
