Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja's wedding card and schedule

The Kapoors and the Ahujas officially confirmed the wedding of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja by releasing a statement on 1st May. The statement put an end to month-long speculations regarding the fashionista's marriage. Sonam and Anand, who have been dating each other for over two years will tie the knot on May 8. The families in their official statement have requested privacy.

Sonam Kapoor wedding: Family statement

''The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.''

Amidst all these, we got our hands on Sonam and Anand's wedding invitation and it is lovely. With paintings of flowers, trees and leaves, in pastel hues, the invites look gorgeous.

Sonam Kapoor Mehendi

Sonam's Mehendi will be held on May 7, 2018 at Sunteck, Signature Island, BKC from 4 pm. The dress code for the ceremony is shades of white.

Sonam Kapoor's Marriage Ceremony

Wedding will be according to Sikh rituals and it will be held between 11 am to 12:30 pm, which will be followed by lunch. Marriage will take place at Rockdale, 226, Bandstand, Bandra, which is Sonam's aunt bungalow.

Party at night

From 8 pm on the same day, a lavish party will be thrown at The Leela, Mumbai.

Earlier, we saw Anil Kapoor's house being decked up with lights, thus giving us the wedding vibes. Choreographer Farah Khan and couple of other celebrities were also spotted at Anil Kapoor's house hinting at preparations for the sangeet ceremony.

Sonam's life is not a secret, thanks to her career choice. However, not much is known about Anand besides the fact that he is a Delhi-based businessman. Anand is the founder of a popular clothing brand, Bhane. He also owns country's first multi-brand sneaker company VegNonVeg. Ahuja has a business background. He is the grandson of Harish Ahuja, owner of Shahi Exports, claimed to be India's largest export house. Anand completed his post-graduation in America before joining the family business.
