On Wednesday, Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre shocked the nation when she revealed that she is suffering from cancer. The Bollywood fraternity and fans poured much love and support for the Sarfarosh actress. Now, her sister-in-law Shrishti Arya and her India’s Best Dramebaaz co-judge Omung Kumar have decided to speak on Sonali Bendre’s cancer news.
Sonali tied the knot with filmmaker Goldie Behl on the 12th of November 2002 at a lavish ceremony in Mumbai, The duo met on the 1994 movie Naraaz, through Goldie’s sister and business partner Shrishti Arya, who was friends with Sonali Bendre.

Shrishti Arya is positive that she will be cured soon. “Sonali is a fighter. She will definitely prevail. She has a lot of positive energy. She will be back. We are all very grateful for the outpouring of love,” Shrishti said during an interview with Spotboye.com. In the interaction, Shrishti also mentioned how it was as sudden and shocking for her family as it was for the fans of the actor. She said, “Yes, it happened suddenly. Aisi sab baatein suddenly hi hoti hain.”

Sonali Bendre was recently seen in kids’ reality show India’s Best Dramebaaz Season 2. The show featured Sonali as one of the judges along with Omung Kumar and Vivek Oberoi.
Omung shared it was “shocking” to know about Sonali’s health and that they (the team) had no idea about Sonali’s medical condition.
“We shot for four episodes together before she was replaced. We were laughing, having fun, even discussing our respective shoes. I don’t think she knew about it (the diagnosis) at the time. Later, we were told that she had left for New York for some tests and a second opinion, but we didn’t know she had cancer. It’s shocking. I know she’s a fighter and will come out of it,” Omung told Mumbai Mirror.
Sonali Bendre is currently being treated for it in New York, the 43-year-old actress revealed on social media on Wednesday. In the lengthy post she shared, Sonali Bendre said about 'taking this battle head on' and also described the diagnosis as 'unexpected.' "Sometimes, when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with a high grade cancer that has metastised, which we frankly did not see coming," read an excerpt from the actress' post.
