Alia Bhatt and her long time boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra have parted ways. The actor who has been quite reticent about his personal life has finally chosen to speak about his split with SOTY co-star Alia. In a recent interview to a leading daily, he told that currently, he has no special person in his life.
Talking to Hindustan Times, he said, “I am very much single!” He also told that he is still trying to understand what true love is.
"That's a subject I wish I could articulate. I'd be lying if I said any line [to define it]; it will be a fake line. I'm still learning the process of understanding what love is. There are so many permutations and combinations; whoever articulates it is just making it up. Nobody knows!” Sidharth Malhotra added.
The actor spoke at lengths about his perception of love and a perfect life partner. He believes that there is no such thing as a perfect girl.
“It's a mirage, it's a cheat! There is no such thing as a perfect girl. It's not how someone is, it's how they make you feel. That's more important. That feeling is a sense of positivity and warmth, and you know that there is something real to it,” he was quoted saying.
Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt made their debut in Bollywood together with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. They were said to be dating each other ever since then. The reports of their split started doing rounds when Sid was said to be increasing closeness with his A Gentleman co-star Jacqueline Fernandez. But Sidharth Malhotra has now cleared the air about his love life.
Alia Bhatt is also rumoured to be dating her Brahmastra co-star Ranbir Kapoor. Recently, she rang in her 25th birthday with Ranbir Kapoor and his mother Neetu Kapoor.
