Siddharth Roy Kapur's birthday surprise for wife Vidya Balan includes her face on 70’s films’ posters
One of the most versatile and talented actresses in Bollywood is undoubtedly Vidya Balan who has proved her acting mettle time and again with films like Kahaani, Parineeta, No One Killed Jessica and others. On January 1 this year, the actress turned 40 and celebrated her birthday in retro style. In many interviews and interactions, vidya Balan has always said that she belong to the 1960s and 70s era and wouldn’t have mind getting born then. On her birthday, Balan’s husband Sidharth Roy Kapur made her wish come true as he got her face printed on popular film posters of the 1970s.
Vidya Balan took to her Instagram to share the video of her birthday surprise given to her by loving husband Sidharth Roy Kapur. In the video, her husband used cutouts of Vidya Balan and pasted them on famous film posters from 1979, the year in which the actress was born. Sharing the video, Balan wrote, , "Ive often said i was born too late and that i would’ve loved to be an actor in the 60’s & 70’s. My special someone took me seriously and guess what!?? ... and got my face printed onto posters of some of the films that released in 1979 #Canyoubelievethis!"
Isn’t it adorable? Vidya Balan even celebrated her 40th birthday going retro. The actress donned a chic emerald retro outfit complete with curly hair for the celebration and even shared the video of getting ready on her social media. Have a look at it here-
On the work front, Vidya Balan will be next seen in the film NTR: Kathanayakudu portraying the role of NTR's wife Basavatarakam. Apart from Vidya and Balakrishna, the film also stars Rana Daggubati who will be playing NTR’s son-in-law and the current CM of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The film also stars Jishu Sengupta, Prakash Jha and Kaikala Satyanarayan in lead roles.
