Actress Shweta Tripathi, known for giving a powerful performance in the film Masaan, tied the nuptial knot with long-time boyfriend Chaitanya Sharma in a private destination wedding in Goa.
Shweta looked ethereal on her wedding day donning red and mint lehenga which was designed by Papa Don’t Preach. She complimented her bridal look with heavy traditional jewelleries.
Meanwhile, Chaitanya looked stunning in a dark red traditional Indian outfit. Earlier talking about her first meeting with Chaitanya, Shweta told IANS, “We met because both of us were stepping in for other actors. So, from Bombay (Mumbai), we met in Delhi to perform and hardly spoke throughout. On our way back, we were seated next to each other. It was a 5 a.m. flight, so obviously the plan was to doze off. But we started talking and that was that.''
Shweta earlier talking about her personal and professional life said her parents questioned her. She said, "They never questioned why I took up a particular role. I am sure that films like 'Masaan' or 'Haraamkhor' were difficult to watch but they understand the kind of cinema I want to make and be part of.''
Talking about post marriage responsibilities Shweta said, "After marriage, I will have two sets of parents who are proud of me. And I also know that I won't do anything that will embarrass them. That is the trust they have in me and the responsibility that I have as a wife, friend and also as an artiste."
