Shibani Dandekar supports rumored beau Farhan Akhtar
In the wake of #MeToo movement in India, Bollywood filmmaker-singer Farhan Akhtar’s cousin brother Sajid Khan has been accused of sexual harassment by three different women. While the director is already facing the heat from Bollywood and outside for his heinous acts, Farhan Akhtar is also accused of knowing about his brother’s alleged predatory ways and still keeping quiet. Yesterday, actress Amrita Puri also said that it was a well-known fact that he is a creep and expressed shock at how cousin Farhan Akhtar was unaware of the same. To which Farhan Akhtar replied in a tweet saying, “I deeply resent your insinuation that me or my family knew of his behavior yet did nothing. Your anger is justified. Your conspiracy theories not. @_Amrita_Puri”
While Farhan Akhtar has made his stand clear, the mouths are still talking and his rumoured girlfriend Shibani Dandekar is not ready to sit back and listen. The all-rounder Shibani Dandekar came forward in support of beau Farhan Akhtar and lashed out on people who are accusing him of things he didn’t really know anything about. Shibani tweeted, “Instead of holding the culprit responsible for gross misconduct are we really blaming and shaming family members for not knowing???? really??”
Well, it is quite evident that Shibani is hurt and angry with netizens for showering their hate of an innocent person rather than the accused. On the other hand, the moment news about Sajid Khan broke the internet, Farhan Akhtar took to Twitter to condemn the behavior of the filmmaker and wrote, "I cannot adequately stress how shocked, disappointed and heartbroken I am to read the stories about Sajid's behaviour. I don't know how but he will have to find a way to atone for his alleged actions."
