Legendary actor Shashi Kapoor passed away in Mumbai on Monday evening due to prolonged illness. His sudden demise had his family members, fans and the entire film industry in shock. The who’s who of Bollywood including Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and many more are at the funeral. Now, a picture of Shashi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor has hit the internet, and it will surely take you to an emotional ride. The Jagga Jasoos actor was close to the veteran actor and was like a grandson. Ranbir is the iconic actor’s elder brother Raj Kapoor’s grandchild). 

Taking to Twitter, the throwback picture was shared by Varun Grover, comedian and screenwriter. The post was also accompanied by a little trivia about how Shashi Kapoor always made it to the premiere of a new play. He sat right outside the Prithvi Cafe and waited for the gates to open and smile gently at the awestruck admirers.

Ranbir Kapoor was also the first ones from the Kapoor family to reach the Kokilaben Hospital where Shashi Kapoor had been admitted and passed away yesterday. 

Ranbir’s puffy eyes from the funeral reveal that he hasn’t had a down time or slept even a single moment since the unfortunate death in the family.

Meanwhile, co-star and good friend Amitabh Bachchan penned down an emotional message on his blog for Shashi Kapoor along with a picture from the cover of a film magazine. Amitabh in his blog admitted that Shashi Kapoor was ‘terribly handsome’.

Amitabh and Shahsi’s camaraderie was popular both in the reel and real life in the 1970-80s era. Their chemistry gained much applaud after their superb performances in Kabhi Kabhie, Namak Halal and Deewar.
