The Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar controversy has taken Bollywood by storm. Ever since the former accused the latter of sexual harassment on the sets of Horn OK Pleassss in 2008, the two have been all over the news. While many have come out in support of the Aashiq Banaya Aapne actress, there are others who have labelled her move as a publicity gimmick to return to the big screen.
In an interaction with news agency ANI, veteran actor Shakti Kapoor was asked to share his views on the incident. Much to surprise, Mr Kapoor laughed the matter off saying that it was a 10-year-old occurence and that he was a “kid back then.”
While many from the film industry have come out n support of the actress, many eminent personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Kalki Koechlin chose to maintain silence on the issue and cited the reason for doing so as being unaware of the facts.
Nana Patekar recently broke his silence on the issue and said that he will see what can be done legally. The latest buzz is that Nana Patekar with the help of is lawyer Rajendra Shirodkar has filed a legal notice against the actress of maligning his image.
As per Patekar's lawyer, Rajendra Shirodkar, the actor who was last seen in Rajinikanth starrer 'Kaala' will be back from Jaisalmer, where he is shooting for 'Housefull 4' October 6 or October 7.
Meanwhile, Tanushree Dutta who mustered the courage to talk about the incident after years of solitude released a statement on Monday, October 1, stating that she will be taking a break due to the toll the whole issue has taken on her health.
