Shah Rukh Khan to play the lead in Rajkumar Hirani's next romantic Bollywood film?
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L. Rai’s film Zero that hit the screens in December last year. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for their favorite superstar to announce his next project. While nothing confirmed has been declared yet, Shah Rukh Khan’s name has been associated with a number of upcoming films like Don 3, Dhoom 4 and others. Now the latest buzz suggests that the King Of Romance, Shah Rukh Khan might be seen in Sanju filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s next film which is going to be a romantic drama.
Going by the reports in Mid-Day, Shah Rukh Khan is said to be in talks with ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for his next film. The report suggests that the actor-director duo has been meeting and discussing a script these days which is a romantic drama and might also announce their collaboration soon. A source was quoted saying, "People have been waiting for Shah Rukh to announce his next project after Zero. Shah Rukh and Hirani have been meeting since the past few months discuss this. It’s almost finalized. Hirani will float his own banner and will not (work) with Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It’s a romantic drama with a strong emotional cord running through; it’s right SRk’s alley." Well, if this happens, SRK fans will be on cloud nine!
After the release of Zero, Shah Rukh Khan revealed that he is planning to take some time off from the movies and will chose his next film after a few months. When SRK visited China for the premiere of his film Zero at the Beijing Film Festival, he told a Chinese website, "This time, I didn’t feel like doing it. I thought, this time, I will take out time to watch films and listen to scripts and read books. My kids are also finishing their college life. Suhana is still in college, Aryan will hopefully pass his college in a year. I want to spend more time with my family."
On the related note, it is also said that Shah Rukh will be seen coming together with his Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-star Katrina Kaif for the remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer Satte Pe Satta. Also, it is said that while SRK has kept Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 on hold, he is in talks with YRF for Dhoom 4.
