Sara Ali Khan thanks fans for overwhelming response to her debut film Kedarnath
There is no denying that Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's talented daughter Sara Ali Khan made the debut of the year with her power-packed performance in her first film Kedarnath. Not just the fans but the critics have loved her performance equally and the numbers are pouring in on the box office as well. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film also starred Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role. As much as this pairing of Sara and Sushant was fresh on the screen, the performances they delivered impressed the masses.
Taking to her Instagram, Sara Ali Khan thanked her fans for the over-whelming response on her first film and said, "Thank you everybody for welcoming and appreciating Mukku with so much love. I'm already missing all those beautiful moments in Kedarnath but all it takes is a look in the mirror to catch glimpse of Mukku and to know she will always have an extremely special place in my heart and memory." The actress also shared a couple of clicks from behind the scenes of the film Kedarnath.
Sharing the latest box office numbers of Kedarnath, Bollywood critic and Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Kedarnath passes the crucial Monday test... Remain rock-steady... Fri 7.25 cr, Sat 9.75 cr, Sun 10.75 cr, Mon 4.25 cr. Total: ₹ 32 cr. India biz."
According to India TV critic, “what works most in the favour of Kedarnath is good performances. None of the actors disappoint. Whether it is Nishant Dahiya, Pooja Gor or Alka Amin, Kedarnath has team of actors who deliver their best through their eyes. Here Sara Ali Khan needs a special mention. The star kid had set our expectations soaring high right with the trailer. Sara shines throughout the film. She is a show-stealer in most of the scenes. Credit should go to the director, who has perfectly brought out every shade of this newbie. Sushant Singh Rajput is at ease in the role of soft-hearted, helpless yet determined lover.”

On the work front, Sara Ali Khan will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's directorial Simmba, whereas, Sushant will next feature in Abhishek Choubey's Sonchiriya. While Simmba is an action-packed entertainer and mostly looks like Shetty's blockbuster Singham starring Ajay Devgn, Sonchiriya is based on dacoits and has an ensemble cast. Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey, Ashutosh Rana and Bhumi Pednekar are in lead roles in this crime drama.
