Sanya Malhotra to step into the shoes of Vidya Balan's daughter in Shakuntala Devi biopic
Sanya Malhotra has marked her name in golden letters in Bollywood with her debut film Dangal and the biggest film of 2018 Badhaai Ho. The actress has managed to impress the audience with her charm and stellar acting ability. Now, the latest reports about the actress suggest that she will eb next seen in Shakuntala Devi biopic and will play the role of her daughter.
Going by the reports in Mumbai Mirror, Vidya Balan is all et to play the role of Shakuntala Devi in her biopic and Pataakha actress Sanya Malhotra will step into the shoes of her daughter. The movie, which is based on famous Mathematician Shakuntala Devi, will go on floors by mid-2019. A source quoted to Mumbai Mirror, "Sanya has liked the story and being a huge Vidya fan is keen to share the screen with her but she has yet to sign on the dotted line. The film will roll this year."
Sanya Malhotra is already ruling the headlines for her upcoming film Photograph alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui as it is going to be premiered at Sundance Film Festival. Talking about the same, Ritesh Batra shares, "I am thrilled to present Photograph along with Nawaz and Sanya at Sundance this year. It’s a great platform for the movie and tells stories from India to the World! I am looking forward to our release in India next year and working with our partners at Amazon. Most importantly, congrats to the whole cast and crew!"
On the other hand, Vidya Balan is all set to mark her Tamil debut opposite actor Ajith in the remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink. Apart from this project, the actress has Mission Mangal featuring Akshay Kumar Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, and Sonakshi Sinha to be released this year.
