As Sanju releases, Rishi Kapoor shares an old picture of Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan supporting Sanjay Dutt

Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju is the unparalleled king of social media trends ever since it release this Friday. Fans can’t stop talking about this Sanjay Dutt biopic and the box office numbers are witness to its massive success. While Rajkumar Hirani is being touted as the biggest storyteller of the trade, Ranbir Kapoor’s performance has also become the talking point on social media. Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor stole a portion of the limelight from his son Ranbir and posted a throwback picture of Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan supporting ‘Sanju’.

Actually, the picture dates back to the time when Sanjay Dutt was accused under the Arms Act in connection to the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case. They were holding placards bearing the name ‘Sanju’ that stands for Sanjay Dutt.

Sharing the picture, Rishi Kapoor wrote, “Thank you! These people been promoting the film ever since!”

The picture is going viral on the internet ever since.

Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Karishma Tanna and Dia Mirza released on Friday. Looking at the huge footfall at the theatres on its first day itself, the film is expected to mint over Rs 40 crore at the box office. If it does, it will enjoy the position of being the biggest film of 2018 so far after Padmaavat, PadMan, Raid, Baaghi 2 and Race 3.
