Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani
Sanju has grabbed the position of biggest opener of 2018 by minting over Rs 34 crore on its first day. The movie set cash registers ringing by its collection of Rs 76 crore in just two days. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, this biopic on Sanjay Dutt is the first collaboration between Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir. Earlier, the duo worked together in PK in which the actor had a blink-and-miss cameo.
Hirani had the tradition of working with an actor twice. So far he has worked with Sanjay Dutt in Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots and PK. Hence, when Kapoor reminded him that their one more project is due, Hirani gave a shocking reaction.
In a video posted by Fox Star Hindi, Ranbir and Hirani can be seen asking questions to each other regarding the film and their experiences. Ranbir says, ''Every actor you have worked with, you have always done two films with him. Humaara ek hi huya hai toh woh bhoolna mat,'' to which Hirani says, ''I don't think I will do two films with you''. The video ends abruptly here.

Well, this must have disappointed all of Ranbir's fans but we know this is just a joke because, in earlier interviews, Hirani is all praise for the actor. ''I have been lucky enough to work with some great talent like Aamir and Ranbir. Ranbir’s dedication is like Aamir’s; he surrenders himself completely to the film. He would arrive at 3 am; it would take him five hours to do the makeup and it would take one and a half hours to remove it but he never complained once. He mingles around with the unit like an assistant. Anybody can pick up the phone and call him, say whatever one wants to say; he is open to criticism,'' said the Sanju director.

Ranbir will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra and Yash Raj Films' Samshera, co-starring Vaani Kapoor.
