Sanjay Leela Bhansali to remake 1952 classic Baiju Bawra with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Bollywood projects are making quite a buzz in the industry. Ever since the news has come out that Salman Khan will be reuniting with the filmmaker after 19 years for a love story, the interest of the audience has perked up. On the other hand, reports of Shah Rukh Khan being part of a SLB film are also doing rounds. Now the latest report has suggested that ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has not one, but three projects in the making.
The latest reports in Bollywood Hungama reveal that besides registering the titles Dil De Diya Inshallah/Pyar Ho Gaya Inshallah and Gangubai with the IMPPA (Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association), Sanjay Leela Bhansali is planning to make a remake of 1952 cult classic Baiju Bawra with superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. It is said that he has registered 3 titles for the remake as well. The rumours also have it that the director is keen on taking Priyanka Chopra as the female lead in the film.
As per a Bollywood Hungama report, Bhansali has registered the titles Baijnath, Baiju, and Baiju Tansen for the movie. On the other hand, it is also said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has Alai Bhatt on his mind to cast in one of his upcoming flicks.

Reportedly, Priyanka Chopra has been signed by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali to play the lady don for his next project called Heera Mandi. The film is reportedly based on the life of Gangubai Kothewali, one of the most dreaded pimps of Kamathipura, Mumbai’s red light area. The project will have Priyanka playing the lead role of the film. The actress has been in talks with the filmmaker for a long time and it was earlier said that she has opted out of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film because of date issues. However, Priyanka’s mother refused the rumours then.
